Kazuhisa Wada, the chief producer for the Persona series, has suggested that the first two games in the franchise, Persona 1 and Persona 2, could be remade in the future. This potential development comes after the release of Persona 3 Reload and the ongoing work on a remake for Persona 4.

Wada described the process of creating remakes as a form of "cultural preservation," emphasizing the company's commitment to ensuring older titles remain accessible. He explained that while ideas for remaking Persona 3 and Persona 4 emerged concurrently, the latter project was temporarily delayed. Both titles are now central to the company's remake strategy.

He further stated that Atlus has a "duty" to ensure its past works are not lost to time and can be experienced on modern platforms. This is particularly relevant for Persona 1 and Persona 2, which are currently the only main entries in the series not easily available for purchase on contemporary systems.

In related news, Netflix is reportedly developing a live-action television series based on the Persona franchise. Christopher Monfette, known for his work on "Star Trek: Picard" and "9-1-1," is attached to write and executive produce the series.
