Pet Food Startup Lickicious Raises ₹19 Cr for Expansion

Lickicious, an Indian direct-to-consumer (D2C) startup specializing in pet food, has secured ₹19 crore (approximately $2.1 million) through a mix of equity and institutional debt. The funding round was led by Prath Ventures, with participation from ISV Capital and other investors.

The company plans to utilize the new capital to establish a 60,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility. This expansion aims to increase production capacity, improve supply chain reliability, and enhance control over product quality.

Lickicious will also invest in research and development, manufacturing, supply chain, branding, and commercial functions. The startup intends to broaden its product range, enter new pet segments, and strengthen its presence across both online and offline retail channels.

Founded in 2024, Lickicious offers a range of dry and wet food, treats, and supplements for dogs and cats. The funding comes amid a growing demand for packaged and specialized pet food in India, driven by increased pet ownership and a greater focus on pet nutrition and healthcare.
