The store will mark its official grand opening with an event on October 3-4. The store is owned by local entrepreneurs Francesco and Rosa, who pursued this venture after retiring from careers in IT and education, respectively. They chose the Pet Supplies Plus brand due to its established reputation and the opportunity to serve their growing community with a familiar pet care provider. The 7,410-square-foot store is situated in a rapidly developing area of Cape Coral and has created 11 new local jobs.

Pet Supplies Plus emphasizes a community-focused approach, referring to its customers as "neighbors." Owners Francesco and Rosa plan to collaborate with local animal shelters and rescue organizations to host adoption events, fundraisers, and donation drives throughout the year. The store aims to be more than just a retail space, seeking to integrate with the local pet-loving community.
