Jersey-based Petrus has initiated legal actions in the United States to secure evidence for German court cases concerning SNP Schneider-Neureither & Partner SE. The firm filed two applications with a federal court in Delaware, under the provisions of U.S. law 28 U.S.C. § 1782.

The applications are directed at Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp. and The Carlyle Group Inc. Petrus is seeking the production of documents from these entities that are intended for use in various legal proceedings in Germany. Petrus states that it does not consider either entity an adversary, but believes they are in possession of relevant documents.

The actions are linked to broader proceedings where SNP's share value is being assessed in Germany. According to media reports, a German court may value SNP shares at a minimum of 140 euros, based on KPMG's "Financial Factbook." Petrus noted in its statement that it has taken into account recent media coverage and financial analyst assessments of SNP.

Petrus has previously stated that filings in these proceedings are public. The company did not elaborate on the specifics or content of the ongoing legal disputes but confirmed its objective to obtain appropriate evidence for upcoming trials in Germany.
