Pharmaceutical companies Pfizer, MorphoSys, and Incyte announced a clinical trial collaboration and supply agreement to investigate a combination therapy for patients with relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) ineligible for autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT). The trial will explore Pfizer's TTI-622, a SIRPα-Fc fusion protein, in combination with Monjuvi® (tafasitamab-cxix) and lenalidomide.

TTI-622 targets the CD47 pathway, which acts as an immune checkpoint. Pfizer suggests that early results for TTI-622 show potential in treating lymphoid malignancies, and preclinical data support its combination with other agents. This research aims to build on existing evidence for TTI-622's efficacy.

Monjuvi, already approved in combination with lenalidomide for specific DLBCL patients, is considered a promising partner for novel immunotherapies. MorphoSys highlighted that adding agents like TTI-622 could offer new treatment options for patients with limited alternatives.

Under the agreement, Pfizer will initiate and fund a multicenter, international Phase 1b/2 study. The trial is planned to take place in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. MorphoSys and Incyte will supply Monjuvi for the study. The collaboration is effective immediately.
