Pfizer presents oncology portfolio and combination approaches at ESMO 2024
Pfizer Inc. is showcasing its diverse oncology portfolio and combination strategies, including approved therapies and investigational candidates, at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress 2024. Data presentations will cover multiple tumor types and scientific modalities.

New York – Pfizer Inc. is presenting data from its oncology portfolio and research at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress 2024, held September 13-17 in Barcelona. The company is highlighting its approved and investigational therapies, as well as its approach to combination treatments.
The congress includes over 50 presentations covering Pfizer's oncology research, with more than ten oral and mini-oral presentations. These focus on targeted therapies, small molecules, and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) across tumor areas such as breast, bladder, and thoracic cancers.
A key presentation will feature updated long-term results from the PHAROS study of BRAFTOVI (encorafenib) + MEKTOVI (binimetinib) in patients with BRAF V600E-mutant metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (mNSCLC). These data follow initial results that supported recent approvals by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Commission.
Pfizer will also present data on ponsegromab, a GDF-15 inhibitor being investigated for cancer-associated cachexia, a severe wasting condition with no current FDA-approved treatments. Early-stage research on novel ADC candidates and initial data on a combination of CDK4 and CDK2 inhibitors for breast cancer will also be shared.
