New York, NY – December 2025 – Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer Inc. has released recent updates regarding its ongoing partnerships and clinical development initiatives. These announcements cover progress across various therapeutic areas, including cancer therapies and vaccine research.

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has validated a Type II variation application for PADCEV™ (enfortumab vedotin) in combination with KEYTRUDA™ (pembrolizumab) for certain patients with muscle-invasive bladder cancer. This signifies a potential advancement in treatment options for those affected by the disease.

In the realm of Lyme disease vaccine development, Pfizer and Valneva have reported further positive Phase 2 booster study results and the completion of recruitment for the Phase 3 VALOR trial. This collaboration addresses a global need for effective prevention against Lyme disease.

Pfizer also announced the supply of its one billionth dose of pneumococcal conjugate vaccine through Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, supporting vaccination efforts in lower-income countries. Additionally, Pfizer is collaborating with UT Southwestern to improve RNA delivery technologies and with the Malawi Ministry of Health and bioMérieux to combat antimicrobial resistance.

Updated clinical data from Phase 1b trials of vepdegestrant (ARV-471) in combination with palbociclib (IBRANCE®) for breast cancer treatment have been presented as part of the collaboration with Arvinas. These findings contribute to the ongoing research for novel cancer therapies.
