P&G Offers Disaster Relief to West Virginia Flood Victims
Procter & Gamble has launched disaster relief services in Buckhannon, West Virginia, to support communities affected by recent heavy rains and flash flooding.

Procter & Gamble (P&G) has activated its disaster relief program in Buckhannon, West Virginia, to aid families and first responders affected by recent storms and flash flooding. In partnership with international humanitarian organization Matthew 25: Ministries and Walmart, P&G is providing free mobile laundry services, hot showers, and essential personal care and cleaning products.
The relief operation began Friday, July 24, at a Walmart Supercenter in Buckhannon. Services are free for affected families and first responders, with each household eligible for up to two loads of laundry. Mobile shower trailers, featuring private bathroom and shower units including ADA-compliant options, are also available.
This week, heavy rainfall exceeding seven inches in north-central West Virginia caused flash floods, mudslides, and road blockages. The flooding has damaged homes, businesses, and critical infrastructure, leaving many residents without essential services.
P&G has supported disaster-affected communities for over a century by providing everyday essentials. "Our commitment to serving consumers extends to disaster situations like this," said Claude Zukowski, Senior Director, Community Impact, P&G. "By bringing our mobile laundry and shower services and essential personal care products, we can help restore a sense of comfort and normalcy for families and first responders."
