PG&E Corporation concludes $2.5 million environmental grant initiative
The PG&E Corporation Foundation has awarded its final $500,000 in grants to five California nonprofits, completing a five-year investment program focused on habitat restoration and environmental education.

The PG&E Corporation Foundation has distributed its final round of funding under the Better Together Nature Positive Innovation Grant program. Five organizations in Northern and Central California received $100,000 each, bringing the total five-year investment to $2.5 million across 25 regional community groups.
The grants, funded by company shareholders rather than customer rates, target initiatives involving biodiversity preservation, air and water quality management, and hands-on environmental education. Recipients include organizations focused on kelp forest recovery, watershed restoration, and agriculture-based learning programs for students.
Carla Peterman, president of PG&E Corporation and chair of the foundation board, noted that the initiative was designed to leverage the local expertise of community leaders to create environmental improvements. With this final round, the company concludes a multi-year effort to support habitat projects throughout its service area.
