Phantom Blade Zero Releases 11-Minute Gameplay Demo, Garnering 8 Million Views
Phantom Blade Zero released an 11-minute gameplay demo on Wednesday, quickly amassing around eight million views on Bilibili in one day. The action RPG also topped Steam's global best-sellers chart.

Developer S-Game launched an extensive 11-minute gameplay demonstration for its upcoming title, Phantom Blade Zero, on Wednesday, coinciding with the opening of pre-orders across all platforms. The video rapidly attracted approximately eight million views on the Chinese platform Bilibili within a single day. Concurrently, the game surged to the number one position on Steam's global best-sellers list.
Phantom Blade Zero is a third-person action role-playing game set in a dark wuxia-inspired universe. Developed and published by Beijing-based S-Game, the title utilizes Unreal Engine 5 to deliver a visually striking experience that blends Chinese martial arts aesthetics with steampunk elements, emphasizing fast-paced combat.
This latest demo offers a more substantial look at the game's mechanics and environments compared to previous short clips. Developers showcased two complete in-game levels, "Fog Forest Hunt" and "Lone City Showdown," demonstrating both combat and exploration without relying on cinematic sequences. The footage highlighted familiar series mechanics such as rapid-step combos and armor-breaking attacks, alongside a new "Reality-Void" switching system.
The "Reality-Void" system allows players to shift between dimensions during combat, with each state offering distinct moves and interactions. This mechanic adds a layer of strategic depth, requiring players to manage positioning, timing, and the current dimensional state alongside attack sequences. The game is slated for release in the fourth quarter of this year on PlayStation 5, PC, and other platforms.
