PharmEasy Parent API Holdings Narrows FY26 Loss Significantly

API Holdings, the parent company of the online pharmacy PharmEasy, reported a substantial decrease in its net loss, narrowing it by 67% for the fiscal year ending March 2026. The company's consolidated net loss stood at ₹520 crore, down from ₹1,572 crore in the previous fiscal year. Operating revenue saw a corresponding increase of 12.7%, reaching ₹6,618.5 crore.

The company attributed the improved financial performance to a strategic focus on customer experience, higher-margin profitable segments, optimized capacity utilization, and enhanced digital capabilities. API Holdings also reported margin improvements driven by an emphasis on private label brands and discount optimization within its B2R (business-to-retailer) operations.

Consolidated expenses for API Holdings declined marginally by 0.9% to ₹7,146.7 crore in FY26. While the cost of stock-in-trade increased by 10.9% to ₹5,244.8 crore, reflecting higher sales volume, employee benefit expenses saw a significant reduction of 47.5% to ₹476.9 crore. This decrease was partly due to lower employee share-based payment expenses.

Across its various business segments, including B2B distribution, diagnostics (Thyrocare), and consumer healthcare (PharmEasy), API Holdings generated a total revenue of ₹6,689.2 crore for FY26. The company also provided an update for the first quarter of FY27, reporting a 10% year-over-year revenue increase to ₹1,754 crore and a positive EBITDA.
