Philippines promotes mountain climbing and nature tourism

The Philippines' Department of Tourism is launching a campaign to showcase the nation's mountainous landscapes and associated tourism potential. The initiative aims to emphasize the country's natural diversity, detailing various mountains with different difficulty levels, including peaks that rise above the clouds for unique vistas.

The campaign also features local tour services and experiences, such as riverine and mangrove ecotours, alongside historical pilgrimage routes. Culinary traditions and coastal scenery are also being promoted.

Authorities are targeting both planned and spontaneous travel, focusing on authentic experiences. Special offers and cultural events, including local crafts and artistic circuits, are also part of the promotion.
