Philippines Secures Three Nominations at Asia Best of Best Awards

The Philippines Department of Tourism (DOT) announced on Tuesday, September 24, that the country has secured three nominations at the Asia Best of Best Awards. This global program recognizes outstanding achievements across various industries in Asia, with a specific focus on travel and tourism.

The nation's nominations include Best Marketing Campaign for its "Love the Philippines" country branding, Best in Service – Customer Support for the DOT’s Tourist Assistance Call Center, and Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco for Best Woman Leader.

The "Love the Philippines" campaign, launched in June 2023, aims to reintroduce the country to the global tourism market by emphasizing its unique charm, natural beauty, and hospitality. The campaign highlights the Philippines’ biodiversity, stunning landscapes, vibrant festivals, and rich culinary traditions.

The DOT's Tourist Assistance Call Center (TACC) has been recognized for Best in Service – Customer Support. This 24/7 multi-platform hotline provides travelers with information, emergency assistance, and support. Secretary Frasco herself is nominated for Best Woman Leader, having spearheaded the DOT's efforts to transform the country's tourism sector, including developing tourist areas and improving infrastructure.
