Philips Hue Integrates Nanoleaf Light Panels Into Its Ecosystem

Philips Hue has expanded its smart lighting portfolio by integrating Nanoleaf's popular wall panels into its own system. The collaboration with longtime rival Nanoleaf, the company that pioneered the smart modular wall panel category, brings new capabilities to Hue users.

Starting September 3rd, owners of Nanoleaf Hexagon, Triangle, or Mini Triangle wall panels can integrate their devices into the Philips Hue ecosystem using the new Philips Hue x Nanoleaf Wall Light Module. This $39.99 module features full Hue connectivity, supporting Bluetooth, Zigbee, and Thread concurrently.

The integration allows users to control Nanoleaf panels directly within the Philips Hue app. This enables the panels to be incorporated into existing Hue lighting scenes and automations. Additionally, the devices operate simultaneously with Matter apps, such as Apple Home, offering flexibility in smart home setups.

The partnership represents a significant move in the competitive smart lighting market. Philips Hue aims to strengthen its position by offering more versatile solutions, while Nanoleaf gains access to a broader user base through the Hue platform.

The new module and the integration it enables offer users a more comprehensive and seamless way to manage their home's smart lighting.
