Philips' new smart toothbrush guides users on brushing areas

Philips has launched its newest smart electric toothbrush, the DiamondClean 9900 Prestige, adding to its Sonicare line. The device reportedly employs a third-generation AI model to offer real-time feedback on the user's brushing.

A glowing ring on the toothbrush's base indicates brushing progress, while a touchscreen highlights areas in the mouth that may require further attention once the user believes they are finished. This technology aims to remove guesswork from electric toothbrush use.

The DiamondClean 9900 Prestige is slated for release in Europe and the US this fall. A wider global rollout is expected in 2027. Pricing details have not yet been announced, though previous versions have been priced around $430.
