Online gaming platform provider PhilWeb announced a significant rise in its financial performance for the second quarter. The company's net income reached ₱47 million (approximately $800,000 USD), a 237% increase compared to the ₱13.9 million reported in the first quarter.
Revenue for the period grew to ₱352.4 million (approximately $6 million USD), marking a 96% expansion from the previous quarter. Digital gaming solutions constituted 57% of the total revenue. PhilWeb also noted the contribution of an Artificial Intelligence pilot program to its results.
The company's strategy appears to involve leveraging growth in its digital gaming segment and exploring new technological integrations, such as AI, to drive future performance. This focus aims to enhance user engagement and expand service offerings within the competitive online gaming market.
