PHITEX 2026 generates over PHP 500 million in sales leads
The Philippines' official travel trade event, PHITEX 2026, concluded in Manila with preliminary sales leads exceeding PHP 594 million, a more than 20% increase from the previous year.
The Philippine Travel Exchange (PHITEX) 2026, the country's premier government-organized travel trade event, concluded on September 9 at Conrad Manila. The event generated preliminary sales leads amounting to PHP 594,712,138.50 (approximately USD 10.1 million).
The figure represents an increase of over 20% compared to the previous year, when sales leads reached PHP 495 million. PHITEX 2026 hosted 108 Philippine sellers and 119 international buyers from 24 countries.
PHITEX is an annual event designed to boost the Philippines' tourism exports and attract foreign visitors. It serves as a platform for Filipino tour operators, hotels, and other tourism service providers to meet and negotiate with potential international partners.
According to the Department of Tourism, the rise in sales leads indicates a recovery and growing interest in the Philippines as a travel destination. Participating companies reported strong international engagement and anticipate converting these leads into tangible business deals in the coming months.
