PhonePe Appoints Srijon Biswas as Chief Technology Officer
Fintech company PhonePe has promoted Srijon Biswas to Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Co-founder Rahul Chari will transition to the role of Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO).

Fintech major PhonePe has appointed Srijon Biswas, head of engineering for its financial services, as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Biswas, who has been with the company since 2016, will now oversee PhonePe's entire engineering organization.
In his new capacity, Biswas will report to PhonePe co-founder and former CTO Rahul Chari. Chari is moving to the role of Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO), where he will lead product and technology functions, alongside trust and safety, data sciences, and customer experience initiatives.
These leadership changes occur amidst several departures from PhonePe's senior management. In recent months, heads of key divisions including insurance, app store, and wealth management have resigned.
PhonePe's plans for an initial public offering (IPO) in India remain on indefinite hold due to market volatility. The company had filed for a confidential IPO route, but has postponed the process. Financial reports indicate a growth in operating revenue alongside an increase in net losses for the company in the first half of FY26.
