Phrontline Biopharma reports early clinical data for drug candidate TJ101
Phrontline Biopharma presented preliminary data at ESMO 2026 showing tumor response in 75 percent of evaluable urothelial carcinoma patients treated with TJ101.
Phrontline Biopharma released preliminary clinical results for its drug candidate TJ101 at the ESMO 2026 conference. Data from eight evaluable patients with urothelial carcinoma indicated an antitumor response in six subjects, representing a 75 percent response rate. The study is notable for including patients previously treated with therapies such as enfortumab vedotin and pembrolizumab.
The company also observed signs of antitumor activity in cases involving squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), small cell lung cancer (SCLC), and prostate cancer. Following these findings, Phrontline Biopharma has initiated a Phase Ib trial to further evaluate the safety profile and dosage of the candidate.
The expansion into a Phase Ib study aims to validate these initial findings across a larger cohort. The company continues to monitor patient outcomes to determine the efficacy and safety profile of the compound in various cancer indications.
