PhyPal Relaunches Patient Platform with Conversational AI
PhyPal has relaunched its patient engagement platform, integrating modern conversational AI with its established clinical technology. A pilot program is underway in California.

Seattle-based PhyPal has relaunched its patient engagement platform, merging modern conversational artificial intelligence with its original deterministic clinical technology. The updated platform connects patient intake, clinical documentation, outcomes tracking, and treatment authorization.
Founded in 2018, PhyPal's initial technology, Snapcare, was supported by a randomized controlled trial published in the European Spine Journal. However, its rule-based system struggled with the complexities of unpredictable patient conversations.
The integration of large language models now enables natural patient interactions while maintaining structured data collection and administrative workflows. A pilot program is currently being conducted at a major California workers' compensation practice to assess reductions in administrative workload and improvements in treatment coordination.
CEO Ranjeet Randhawa stated that AI was integrated not to create the clinical foundation, but to make it accessible through natural conversation, aiming to enhance the physician-patient relationship and streamline care processes.
