PhysicsWallah reports $15 million profit in Q2
Indian edtech company PhysicsWallah turned to a $15 million profit in the second quarter of the fiscal year, following a loss in the previous period.

PhysicsWallah, an education technology firm based in Noida, reported a profit after tax of $15 million for the second quarter of the fiscal year. The results represent a recovery from the $9.2 million loss recorded during the first quarter.
The company generated $131 million in operating revenue, with total income reaching $141 million. Online course offerings contributed $73.3 million to the revenue, while the company’s offline operations accounted for $57.1 million.
Alongside the financial results, the firm announced an exit from direct student lending. On October 3, PhysicsWallah sold the $10.1 million loan portfolio held by its subsidiary, FinZ Finance Private Limited, to Auxilo Finserve Private Limited. The company has not provided details regarding any ongoing financing arrangements following the sale.
The shift comes as digital lending in India faces stricter compliance standards. PhysicsWallah continues to manage its core operations amid broader industry scrutiny and preparations for future growth.
