PhysicsWallah Reports Strong Revenue Growth Driven by Hybrid Model
Indian edtech firm PhysicsWallah announced a total revenue of ₹1,162.8 crore for Q1 FY27. The company's strategy of blending online and offline education is proving effective.

PhysicsWallah, a prominent Indian edtech company, has reported a significant financial performance, achieving total revenues of ₹1,162.8 crore in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 (Q1 FY27).
The company's diversified strategy, which combines online courses with a growing network of offline learning centers, appears to be successfully navigating the challenging post-pandemic edtech landscape. This approach has allowed PhysicsWallah to achieve scale and reach, unlike several competitors who have faced significant financial difficulties.
In Q1 FY27, the online education segment contributed ₹549 crore to the revenue, while the offline education segment generated ₹490 crore. The online business proved profitable, recording an operating profit of ₹75.9 crore. However, the offline segment, which includes its Vidyapeeth and Pathshala centers, incurred an operating loss of ₹27 crore during the same period.
PhysicsWallah initially gained traction by offering free educational content on YouTube, which now serves as a funnel for its paid online programs. The company has expanded its offerings to include test preparation, upskilling, and K-12 education, alongside its core JEE and NEET offerings.
Looking ahead, PhysicsWallah aims to further solidify its position as a full-stack education provider by continuing to integrate digital learning with physical classroom experiences, thereby creating multiple revenue streams and enhancing its market presence.
