PhysicsWallah returns to profitability in Q2 FY27
Indian edtech firm PhysicsWallah posted a net profit of ₹143.6 Cr for Q2 FY27, driven by cost discipline and operational improvements.

PhysicsWallah recorded a return to profitability in the second quarter of the 2027 fiscal year. The company reported a net profit of ₹143.6 Cr, more than double the figure from the same period last year, on an operating revenue of ₹1,242.3 Cr, representing an 18.2% year-on-year increase. EBITDA improved by 52.6% to ₹348 Cr.
The company’s performance was supported by disciplined cost control measures and enhanced operating leverage. Management also reduced financial risk by shifting away from direct lending activities. Despite facing headwinds from a delayed NEET exam cycle, which impacted enrollment numbers, the firm maintained momentum through its online business vertical and continued expansion of offline centers.
Looking ahead, PhysicsWallah is prioritizing the integration of AI tutors to lower personalized learning costs. The company has identified South India as its primary growth market, where it intends to employ an online-first strategy supplemented by AI-driven live translation tools to cater to diverse regional languages without significantly increasing academic overhead.
