PhytoHealth CEO Angel Lee Honored for Developing Cancer Fatigue Drug
Angel Lee, CEO of PhytoHealth Corporation, has been recognized as one of Taiwan's "Ten Outstanding Young Women" for her leadership in developing PG2®, the world's first prescription drug for cancer-related fatigue.

Taipei, Taiwan – Angel Lee, CEO of PhytoHealth Corporation, has been named one of Taiwan's "Ten Outstanding Young Women." This national award acknowledges her leadership in the development of PG2® Lyo. Injection, the first prescription drug globally approved for moderate-to-severe cancer-related fatigue (CRF). The award also recognizes her contributions to herbal medicine advancement and supportive cancer care.
PG2® is derived from refined polysaccharides of Astragalus membranaceus, a medicinal plant documented by the WHO. It is Taiwan's first approved herbal medicine and is used in medical facilities across Taiwan to treat cancer-related fatigue. PhytoHealth is continuing to gather clinical evidence for its proprietary refined Astragalus polysaccharides (rAPS®) platform and explore its broader potential in supportive cancer treatment.
Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) is a debilitating condition distinct from ordinary tiredness that can affect patients throughout cancer treatment. Historically, it has often been under-recognized and undertreated. Beyond developing PG2®, PhytoHealth has worked with Taiwanese medical professionals to raise awareness and encourage active identification and management of CRF in clinical practice, contributing to Taiwan's first clinical guidelines for the condition.
Building on PG2®'s established clinical use and regulatory framework in Taiwan, PhytoHealth is actively seeking international pharmaceutical and healthcare partners to advance the global development of PG2® and its herbal active ingredient platform. The company aims to bring Taiwanese healthcare innovations to the global market.
