PhytoHealth CEO Angel Lee Recognized for Cancer Treatment Development
Angel Lee, CEO of PhytoHealth Corporation, has been honored for her leadership in developing PG2®, the world's first prescription drug approved for cancer-related fatigue.

TAIPEI, October 2, 2026 – Angel Lee, CEO of PhytoHealth Corporation, has been recognized as one of Taiwan's 27th Ten Outstanding Young Persons. This national award highlights her leadership in advancing PG2® Lyo. Injection, the first prescription drug globally approved specifically for moderate to severe cancer-related fatigue (CRF). The recognition also acknowledges her contributions to the development of botanical medicines and supportive care for cancer patients.
PhytoHealth's PG2® is derived from purified polysaccharides of Astragalus membranaceus, a medicinal plant. It is the first new botanical drug approved in Taiwan and is utilized across various medical institutions for CRF. It is covered by Taiwan's National Health Insurance for eligible cancer patients, particularly those with breast cancer.
The company continues to build clinical evidence around its patented refined astragalus polysaccharide (rAPS®) platform and explores its broader potential in oncology supportive care. CRF is a debilitating condition that has historically received limited recognition and treatment. PhytoHealth has worked with Taiwan's medical community to raise awareness and clinical recognition of CRF, contributing to the development of Taiwan's first clinical guidelines for the condition.
Leveraging PG2®'s established regulatory and clinical use in Taiwan, PhytoHealth is actively seeking international pharmaceutical and healthcare partners to advance the global development of PG2® and its botanical drug platform. Lee stated that the goal is to translate scientific research into tangible patient benefits and to bring Taiwan's biotechnological innovations to the global healthcare community.
