Pia Aaltonen-Forsell Appointed Valmet's Chief Financial Officer
Valmet has appointed Pia Aaltonen-Forsell as its new Chief Financial Officer. She is set to start in the role by the end of January 2027.

Valmet Oyj has appointed Pia Aaltonen-Forsell (M. Soc.Sc. (Econ.), MBA) as its new Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Aaltonen-Forsell will report to President and CEO Thomas Hinnerskov and commence her duties at the latest by the end of January 2027.
Aaltonen-Forsell joins Valmet from her previous position as CFO at Finnair. Her extensive background includes financial leadership roles at Northvolt, Outokumpu, Ahlström-Munksjö, Vacon, and various management and finance positions at Stora Enso. She also serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit Committee for UPM-Kymmene Corporation.

Aaltonen-Forsell succeeds Valmet's current CFO Katri Hokkanen, who is leaving her position by the end of September 2026, as previously announced on March 20, 2026.
