Pikmin 4 Discounted Ahead of Nintendo Switch 2 Update

Nintendo has lowered the price of the digital version of Pikmin 4 to $39.88 at Walmart, a discount of over $20 from its usual price.

The game retains the puzzle-solving formula of previous titles but introduces a dog companion and explores darker themes hinted at in earlier installments. A new version is scheduled for release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on November 12, 2026.

The Switch 2 version will feature enhanced visuals, voice commands for the dog companion, and a new Dandori Academy mode offering additional challenges. Players can upgrade their current game to this new version for $10.

Alternatively, the Switch 2 Edition can be purchased outright for $69.99. The current discount allows players to experience the game at a reduced cost before the upcoming upgrade.
