Piramal Pharma Solutions Expands Peptide API Facility with New Spray Drying Suite

Piramal Pharma Solutions has increased its manufacturing capacity for peptide-based drugs by installing a new spray drying suite at its specialized facility in Turbhe, India. This expansion enhances the company's capabilities in handling and formulating complex peptide Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).

The new suite is equipped with Band 5 containment capacity, ensuring a high level of protection and control when processing potent and sensitive pharmaceutical compounds. The system includes dedicated air handling units, nitrogen supply, and control systems to maintain process integrity and quality.

The Turbhe facility is a key component of Piramal Pharma Solutions' global manufacturing network. The expansion supports the company's strategy to meet the growing demand for peptide-based therapies, which are used to treat a range of conditions, including cancer and diabetes.

This investment strengthens Piramal's position as a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) within the pharmaceutical industry, broadening its service offering for drug development from early stages through to commercial production.
