Pith & Stem launches DropTop desk for remote workers

Pith & Stem, a furniture manufacturer based in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, has introduced the DropTop, a compact and stylish desk designed for remote workers. The company focuses on using reclaimed and sustainable materials to create its products.

The DropTop desk aims to improve home office setups by integrating necessary technology and maintaining a minimalist aesthetic. When not in use, the desk can be folded away and disguised as wall art, addressing space limitations in modern homes. This design caters to the growing trend of remote work and the need for functional, aesthetically pleasing home furniture.

Founder Stefan Husanu established Pith & Stem with a commitment to environmental sustainability. "We believe bespoke furniture can and should be made from almost entirely recycled and sustainable materials," Husanu stated. The company actively sources local reclaimed wood, steel, and plastic to minimize transport emissions and reduce waste.

The launch of the DropTop in 2021 marks a significant step for Pith & Stem in providing solutions for the evolving work landscape. The product addresses challenges such as limited home workspace and the desire for a professional setup, contributing to both productivity and environmental consciousness among remote employees.
