Pixel 11 Pro's new illumination feature confirmed as HiLight

Google is expected to unveil its Pixel 11 smartphone series later this month. Initial leaks and teasers have suggested minimal changes from last year's models, with one notable exception being an illuminated dot seen in promotional material, previously rumored as 'Pixel Glow'.

A new leak from Roland Quandt of WinFuture, shared on Bluesky, all but confirms the feature's actual name: HiLight. The leak includes an image of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold's camera module, revealing the device's physical appearance more clearly than Google's teasers.

The camera bump on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold appears smaller than on previous iterations and lacks the separate section for the flash to its right. This indicates that HiLight is integrated as the primary flash unit.

It is anticipated that HiLight will function as both a standard flashlight and camera flash, with the added capability of producing a range of colors. Further details regarding its specific functionalities and potential applications are expected at the official product launch.
