Pitchford stated that the back of the found smartwatch indicated it was a 'Google Pixel 5,' a model that has not yet been officially announced. He noted the device appeared functional, with a low battery but capable of displaying the correct time. According to Pitchford, his friend attempted to locate the owner and has since arranged for the watch's return.

This incident echoes the leak of the first Pixel Watch in 2022, where images of an unannounced prototype circulated on Reddit after being found at a restaurant.
