Pixxel Raises $100 Million for Satellite Manufacturing and Imaging Expansion
Space technology firm Pixxel has secured $100 million in Series C funding, focusing on scaling up satellite manufacturing and enhancing its Earth intelligence platform.

Indian space technology startup Pixxel has raised $100 million in a Series C funding round, co-led by Singapore's sovereign wealth fund Temasek and UK-based investor Seraphim. New investors 360 ONE Asset and IMM Investment also participated, alongside existing backers Radical Ventures and growX ventures.
This latest investment brings Pixxel's total funding to $195 million. The company plans to use the capital to expand its satellite sensing capabilities, further develop its Earth intelligence platform, Aurora, deepen its work on sovereign space systems, and increase its satellite manufacturing capacity. This will support scaling up production at its Gigapixxel facility, inaugurated in 2024.
Pixxel specializes in hyperspectral Earth observation satellites, which can identify materials and changes on the Earth's surface with greater detail than conventional satellite imagery. The company currently operates six Firefly hyperspectral satellites, claiming they form the world's highest-resolution commercial hyperspectral satellite constellation. Pixxel holds contracts with NASA and the US National Reconnaissance Office, as well as several projects from India's Ministry of Defence.
The funding round occurs amid growing investor interest and commercial activity in India's private space technology sector. Several other Indian space tech companies, such as Skyroot Aerospace, have also recently secured significant funding and undertaken space operations.
