PLAN-B NET ZERO ENERGY has launched a partnership with environmental technology firm Everwave to address plastic pollution in rivers. The initiative aims to prevent waste from reaching the oceans, contributing to a cleaner planet.

The initial phase of the collaboration took place in Cambodia, where 10,000 kilograms of waste were removed from rivers and canals. This effort targets the global plastic crisis, as it is estimated that 80 percent of ocean plastic originates from rivers. Everwave utilizes trash collection boats, barriers, and manual cleanups, supported by AI for route optimization, to intercept waste before it enters marine environments.

Julia Schnitger, Head of Marketing at PLAN-B NET ZERO ENERGY, stated the initiative's purpose: "Without a clean planet, clean energy won't help." This partnership aligns with the companies' shared vision for a sustainable future.

Everwave implements its cleanup operations on-site, working closely with local authorities and partners to ensure long-term impact and measurable results within the regions where they operate.
