Electricity provider PLAN-B NET ZERO ENERGY has launched its "Change Makes a Difference" campaign, aiming to collect plastic waste from rivers. During the campaign, a small monthly contribution from customers, starting at one euro, will directly fund river cleanup efforts. The initial partner is everwave, which collects debris from river waters using its Müllsammelbooten technology. The campaign is scheduled to run until November 30, 2026.

The initiative offers consumers a straightforward method to engage in environmental protection without additional effort or lifestyle changes. PLAN-B NET ZERO ENERGY highlights that an electricity contract is a necessary expense, and changes made through it can yield tangible outcomes. According to Julia Schnitger, Head of Marketing, "the change itself is the action that creates impact," and its effect is measurable. Customers can select from three tiers: 1, 3, or 5 euros per month, each corresponding to a specific amount of collected plastic.

At the campaign's outset, the partner is everwave, which since December 2025 has collected over 3.1 million kilograms of waste from rivers, including in Albania and Cambodia. The company utilizes artificial intelligence for waste identification and analysis, with the collected material being processed in an environmentally friendly manner. The objective is to achieve permanently cleaner rivers.

Throughout the "Change Makes a Difference" campaign, PLAN-B NET ZERO ENERGY will showcase the work of its partners across various social media channels and its app. A summary of the achieved results will be published at the campaign's conclusion in late November. The company invites customers to choose an Impact electricity plan, offering a transparent way to demonstrate the positive effects of electricity consumption.
