PLAN-B NET ZERO Energy has launched its "Impact Tariffs," offering customers a direct way to contribute to environmental cleanup. With these tariffs, each euro added monthly to an electricity contract is converted into one kilogram of plastic removed from rivers and other waterways.

The new options are supplementary to PLAN-B NET ZERO Energy's existing fixed-price electricity contracts. Customers can choose between three tiers: "Start" (an additional €1 per month for 1kg of plastic removal), "Boost" (€3/month for 3kg), and "Ultra" (€5/month for 5kg). The initiative aims to make environmental impact tangible and trackable for consumers.

The company has partnered with everwave, a German impact enterprise focused on collecting plastic waste from rivers globally before it reaches the oceans. Everwave has reportedly removed over 2.4 million kilograms of plastic from waterways in countries including Cambodia, Albania, and Thailand. A joint initiative in Cambodia successfully recovered 10,000 kilograms of waste.

PLAN-B NET ZERO Energy emphasizes transparency and rejects greenwashing, stating that customers want to see concrete results from their contributions. The company intends to expand its impact program to include partners in other areas of conservation and social initiatives, allowing customers to choose which projects they wish to support.

The launch of these Impact Tariffs aligns with PLAN-B NET ZERO Energy's broader strategy of integrating clean energy production with planetary well-being, suggesting that genuine environmental progress requires more than just green electricity.
