Plan International Canada Appoints New Executive Leaders

Plan International Canada has appointed Andrew Smith as its new Chief Programs Officer and Indresh Kohli as Vice-President, Marketing and Donor Experience. The appointments are intended to bolster the organization's efforts in advancing girls' rights and children's well-being in more than 80 countries.

The appointments come at a time when global challenges, including conflicts, climate disasters, and economic instability, are increasing risks to children's futures. Girls, in particular, face significant barriers to education, health, safety, and opportunity. Smith brings over 25 years of experience in international affairs, policy development, and operational leadership from roles at Global Affairs Canada. Kohli offers more than two decades of experience in marketing, business transformation, and growth strategies from various international organizations.

In his new capacity, Smith will oversee the development and impact of Plan International Canada's programs. He holds a PhD in Political Science and International Relations. Kohli will lead marketing initiatives and enhance donor experiences, drawing on his expertise in brand building and customer engagement from roles with major consumer brands. He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business.
