Planmeca Oy expands dental equipment portfolio

Finnish company Planmeca Oy, a prominent manufacturer of dental care equipment, has announced new product developments and enhancements within the digital dentistry sector. The company continues to invest in research and development, aiming to provide integrated solutions for dental professionals.

The expanded product offerings include components such as the Steri-Center SCX5 central sterilization unit, alongside console and island solutions within the Evolution Series. Planmeca is also introducing a Scan Cart designed to streamline workflow efficiency in dental practices.

In the realm of digital solutions, the Planmeca Romexis software family is seeing continuous updates. This software suite incorporates modules for 2D and 3D imaging, implantology, orthodontic simulation, and restoration design. The company is also developing artificial intelligence tools as part of the Romexis platform to improve diagnostics and treatment planning.

Planmeca has also broadened its range of dental hardware, including intraoral and desktop scanners, CAD/CAM software, as well as milling and 3D printing machines. These products support the complete digital dentistry workflow, from patient diagnosis to the fabrication of final restorations.
