Numerous PlayStation Network users in Japan are reporting unauthorized account access, marked by the unexpected addition of unknown child profiles to their family groups.

PlayStation Network (PSN) users in Japan have reported a series of security incidents involving unauthorized access to their accounts. According to user reports on social media, accounts are being compromised, with victims discovering new, unrecognized child profiles added to their existing family management settings.

In addition to the unauthorized profiles, some users have received automated notifications indicating that their login credentials, such as their sign-in IDs, were changed without their consent. Many of the affected individuals noted that they cannot remove these foreign profiles through standard self-service tools and must instead contact Sony customer support to resolve the issue.

Sony has not yet issued an official statement regarding the cause of the security breach or the scope of the impact. Security observers advise users to log into the official PlayStation website to review their family management settings for any unrecognized members.
