Plusnet Offers Standardized Solution for Public Cloud Connectivity

Plusnet GmbH has introduced Cloud Connect, a standardized solution designed to meet the growing demand for secure connections to public cloud services among businesses. This offering facilitates stable and high-performance integration with cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.

The service targets companies already utilizing Plusnet's Virtual Private Network (VPN) for secure inter-site connectivity. Cloud Connect acts as an additional module, enabling direct and protected data transfer to the cloud without the need for companies to build their own infrastructure or become certified service partners.

Cloud Connect promises 99.999 percent availability and optimized latency, ensuring smooth operation for critical applications. Bandwidth can be flexibly scaled between 50 Mbit/s and 10 Gbit/s, supporting connections to eight major public cloud providers. Plusnet states that the service can be deployed within a few business days.

Additional benefits highlighted by Plusnet include predictable flat-rate pricing and the ability to leverage existing connections at certified European cloud locations. The company clarified that customers retain their direct contractual relationship with the public cloud provider, with Cloud Connect serving as the dedicated access method within their existing VPN.
