Pluto Security raises $42M amid enterprise AI security concerns
Enterprise security firm Pluto Security has secured $42 million in funding to address growing risks associated with the rapid adoption of AI tools within companies.

Pluto Security, a company focused on enterprise security, has announced a $42 million funding round led by Jump Capital, TLV Partners, and Ansa Capital. The investment aims to address the increasing security vulnerabilities arising from the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence tools within corporate environments.
Shahar Bahat, CEO and co-founder of Pluto Security, highlighted the challenge of employees using AI tools in unexpected ways, creating new security gaps. Bahat stated that approximately 60% of the risks her company detects are linked to tools adopted by non-developer teams, with finance departments being the largest source of these risks, followed by marketing and legal.
The rapid deployment of these tools presents a significant challenge. According to Bahat, new AI tools can appear within a company's environment as quickly as two hours after their release. This necessitates continuous monitoring and robust security measures to identify and mitigate potential threats.
The company plans to use the new capital to accelerate product development and expand its global reach. Pluto Security is focused on providing solutions that help organizations monitor and secure their usage of third-party applications and AI services.
