PNE sells two German wind farm projects to private investors

PNE Group has completed the sale of two German wind farm projects, Wulfsdorf A in Schleswig-Holstein and Kuhstedt III in Lower Saxony, to a small group of private investors. Both are repowering projects, designed to replace older wind turbines with newer, more efficient models.

The combined nominal capacity of the two projects is 45 megawatts. Wulfsdorf A will feature four Vestas turbines totaling 24.4 MW, while Kuhstedt III will be equipped with three Nordex turbines for a total capacity of 20.6 MW. Together, the wind farms are expected to generate enough clean electricity to cover the annual demand of approximately 31,000 three-person households.

Construction is currently underway for both projects. Wulfsdorf A is scheduled for commissioning in December 2026, and Kuhstedt III is expected to be operational around the end of 2026 or early 2027. PNE Group will continue to provide operational management for both sites through its subsidiary, energy consult GmbH.

According to PNE Group, this repowering strategy allows for significantly increased renewable electricity generation from existing wind energy sites by utilizing modern turbine technology. The sale aligns with the company's ongoing strategy to develop, market, and manage renewable energy assets.
