Poco Loco Tortilla Wraps Improved to Nutri-Score B
Paulig's Poco Loco brand has upgraded its Original wheat tortilla wraps recipe, enhancing their Nutri-Score from D to B. This change increases fiber and protein while reducing saturated fat and salt.
Paulig's Poco Loco brand has revamped the recipe for its Original wheat tortilla wraps, achieving an improved Nutri-Score B rating. The change, effective September 2025, enhances the products' nutritional profile by increasing fiber and protein, while lowering saturated fat and salt.
The new recipe substitutes palm oil with rapeseed oil, significantly reducing saturated fat content. Salt and additive usage has also been decreased. This reform aligns with Paulig's broader objective to have 70% of its product portfolio achieve a Nutri-Score A or B rating by 2030.
Poco Loco wraps are primarily produced at Paulig's facility in Roeselare, Belgium, where six million wraps are manufactured daily. Wheat sourcing increasingly involves local European farms practicing regenerative agriculture, and rapeseed oil is also procured from within the EU.
Alongside nutritional improvements, Poco Loco is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a brand refresh. Packaging designs are updated to reflect the brand's new essence of 'effortlessly joyful'. New packaging also indicates the products' freezability, supporting food waste reduction efforts.
