PointsKash Acquires ChainBytes Software Assets, Hires Founder Eric Grill
Fintech firm PointsKash announced the completion of its acquisition of ChainBytes software assets and the addition of its founder, Eric Grill, to its team.

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona – Financial technology company PointsKash announced on July 14, 2026, that it has completed the strategic acquisition of ChainBytes' software assets through an all-stock transaction. The move aims to expand PointsKash's proprietary software portfolio and bolster its engineering capabilities to accelerate the development of its AI-powered fintech ecosystem.
The company anticipates integrating key elements of the ChainBytes software platform into its technology ecosystem beginning in 2027. This integration is expected to enhance its offerings in cryptocurrency, digital banking, and financial kiosks. As part of the deal, ChainBytes founder and lead software developer Eric Grill has joined PointsKash.
Grill will collaborate with PointsKash's lead programming architect, Peter Keating, on future software innovations. PointsKash CEO Michael Herron stated that the primary goal of the acquisition was to secure talent, not just software. Herron believes that Grill and Keating will drive the company's AI integration across its operations.
PointsKash plans to embed artificial intelligence across its business functions, including software development, customer support, and fraud monitoring, expecting significant improvements in efficiency and automation. Grill expressed his eagerness to leverage his experience to build on a larger scale within PointsKash.
