Police to Increase Speed Checks During August 'Speedweek'

German police are set to significantly increase speed checks across the country during the upcoming "Speedweek" campaign in August. This initiative, focused on enhancing road safety, is strategically timed during a period of high travel volume.

The campaign, commonly referred to as "Blitzermarathon," aims to remind drivers about the importance of adhering to posted speed limits. Unlike the more concentrated spring campaigns, the August "Speedweek" does not feature a single, dedicated "blitz day."
