Pollen Robotics Launches New Microduck Robot
Pollen Robotics, an affiliate of Hugging Face, has launched its new Microduck AI robot, standing under 10 inches tall. The device is now available for pre-order, with shipments expected to begin before Christmas 2026.
Pollen Robotics, an affiliate of Hugging Face, has introduced its latest AI robot, the Microduck. Standing just under 10 inches tall, this one-eyed biped is now available for pre-order at a price of $399. The company anticipates starting shipments before the Christmas holiday in 2026.
Video demonstrations showcase the Microduck's capabilities, including picking up objects like socks and markers, and kicking a ball. The robot is also shown utilizing small rollerskates to move around. Pollen Robotics states the device can react to its environment and follow a laser pointer, or be controlled by users via a game controller.
The Microduck features open-source software, a characteristic shared with other Hugging Face initiatives. It will be offered in four color options: cream, graphite, lavender, and sky blue. This launch follows Pollen Robotics' previous release of another AI robot.
