Ponsse completes acquisition of Czech dealer, appoints new managing director
Forest machine manufacturer Ponsse Oyj has finalized the acquisition of its Czech Republic dealer, Křenek Forest Service s.r.o. The new entity, Ponsse Czech s.r.o., will manage sales and service operations in the country.

Ponsse Oyj, a manufacturer of forest machines, has completed the acquisition of shares in Křenek Forest Service s.r.o., its dealer in the Czech Republic. The transaction, announced on February 4, 2022, has now been finalized after all conditions were met.
The newly established Ponsse Czech s.r.o., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ponsse, will oversee the company's sales, spare parts, and maintenance activities within the Czech Republic. Employees from the former dealer, Křenek Forest Service s.r.o., will continue their roles within the Ponsse Group to ensure a smooth transition and continued local business operations.
Jakub Hacura, a forestry engineer, has been appointed as the managing director of Ponsse Czech s.r.o., effective April 1, 2022. Hacura, who has been with Křenek Forest Service s.r.o. since 2017, has held managerial positions in the sales and maintenance of PONSSE forest machines.
Ponsse holds an approximate 20 percent market share in the cut-to-length harvesting sector in the Czech Republic. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
