Ponsse Oyj, a manufacturer of forest machines, has introduced its new PONSSE DH7 harvester head, developed for the specific challenges of harvesting in eucalyptus plantations. The company announced the new product on May 19, 2026.

The DH7 harvester head is characterized by its strong debarking capabilities and durability, which collectively enable efficient harvesting of eucalyptus. "The DH7 offers a more efficient and durable solution for harvesting eucalyptus plantations. We have developed it from an operating cost perspective: easy maintenance, better structural durability, and improved fuel economy have a direct impact on harvesting productivity," stated Markku Savolainen, Ponsse's Product Manager for harvester heads.

The new harvester head is compatible with Ponsse Cobra, Ergo, and Bear harvesters, as well as tracked machines. Its feed speed can reach up to six meters per second. The harvester head comes standard with the Opti 5G information system and OptiFeedControl logic, simplifying its operation and the debarking of eucalyptus stems.

An optional HH360 rotator is available, allowing unlimited rotation of the harvester head to enhance harvesting workflow and extend the service life of connection hoses. Ponsse states that the new DH7 reinforces its position as a developer of harvesting solutions for eucalyptus plantations. The previous model, H7HD Euca, will remain in the product range, offering customers continued choice.
