Ponsse invests in training and Swedish service network development
Forest machine manufacturer Ponsse has opened a new training center in Surahammar, Sweden. The investment enhances the company's capacity for personnel training and skills development in the forestry sector.

Forest machine manufacturer Ponsse Oyj has made a significant investment to develop its service network in Sweden by opening a new training center at its service facilities in Surahammar. The new center utilizes Ponsse simulators and modern training facilities, enabling international training.
The training center strengthens Ponsse's ability to develop personnel expertise and deepen cooperation with forestry educational institutions. According to the company, training plays a key role in improving the productivity, efficiency, and sustainability of forest machine contractors and operators.
"We are very pleased with this investment and the opportunities it provides to develop training right here. The center located in Surahammar is excellent for organizing international training sessions due to its location, just over an hour's drive from Arlanda Airport," says Carl-Henrik Hammar, Country Manager for Ponsse Sweden.
Accommodation for up to 20 people has also been built adjacent to the training center, facilitating participants' travel arrangements. The service facility also includes new office spaces, a spare parts shop, and modern service bays for forest machines. Ponsse continues its investments in its Swedish service operations as part of its long-term strategy.
