Ponsse Oyj reports 2025 financial results
Ponsse Oyj announced its 2025 financial results on February 17, 2026. The company's net sales reached EUR 749.9 million, nearly matching the previous year's EUR 750.4 million. Despite a challenging market, operating profit saw a significant increase to EUR 41.6 million, up from EUR 36.8 million in the prior year.
The year 2025 was characterized by global economic uncertainty and a subdued business cycle within the forest industry. Changes in US tariff policy, in particular, impacted customer investment decisions. While order inflow was initially strong, it weakened throughout the year due to increasing uncertainty. By year-end, the order book stood at EUR 141.4 million, down from EUR 188.6 million a year earlier.
Difficulties in the mechanical and chemical forest industries directly affected forest machine sales. Weak private consumption and low construction activity in Europe slowed demand. However, Ponsse managed to maintain production volumes at its Vieremä factory close to the previous year's level. Maintenance services and the subsidiary Epec performed well in the challenging market.
The company's Board of Directors has proposed a dividend of EUR 0.55 per share, an increase from EUR 0.50 per share in the previous year. The outlook for 2026 is cautiously optimistic, with the company estimating its operating profit to remain on par with 2025 levels, approximately EUR 41.6 million, in a normal market environment.
Ponsse continues its long-term development efforts to improve profitability. The company's long-term target remains to achieve approximately 12 percent relative profitability in a normal market environment with full factory capacity.
