Ponsse sells over 500 forest machines in Brazil
Finnish forest machine manufacturer Ponsse is celebrating 18 years in Brazil by surpassing 500 equipment sales. In the first quarter of 2024, the company delivered approximately 20 new machines.

Finnish forest machine manufacturer Ponsse has sold over 500 machines in Brazil during its 18 years of operation in the country. Ponsse Latin America, the company's Brazilian subsidiary, began its operations in 2006, initially focusing on the sale of harvesting heads.
Ponsse, founded in 1970, is estimated to hold approximately 35% of the Brazilian forest machine market share. In the first three months of 2024 alone, about 20 new Ponsse machines were delivered to customers and are now operating in the country's forests.
The Brazilian market has prompted Ponsse to develop particularly robust and economically viable equipment. Brazilian forest producers have contributed feedback and participation in the development of harvesters like the H7HD Euca and H8HD Euca. The company has also introduced solutions tailored for the Brazilian market, such as the Harbunk unit and the Multifleet by Ponsse management system.
Janne Loponen, Director of Ponsse Brazil, emphasized the company's commitment to developing machines based on customer needs and working closely with them. Brazil's role has grown significantly over 18 years, and the country increasingly contributes to forest machine development. Brazil is expected to remain a key player in sustainable forestry and in addressing operational challenges within the sector.
